Learn about oxygen therapy and if it’s right for you, how to tell if you need oxygen and how much, how to qualify for oxygen therapy, what types of oxygen therapy are available to you, breathing tips, and more!  A Q&A session will follow the presentation.

 

 

 

Support Groups for Individuals with Lung Disease are regularly scheduled, in-person support groups for individuals with chronic lung disease including COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and lung cancer. Learn ways to better cope with your diagnosis while getting the support of others in similar situations. These support groups give you the tools you need to live your best quality of life. Led by trained facilitator Gloria Bailey BSRT, MPH, TTS, they feature educational presentations on a wide range of relevant topics.

Bob Sobkowiak, RRT, TTS

Bob is a former US Air Force Medic, training as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Ohio and California. For over 40 years Bob has served in Clinical Acute Care, Management, Education, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Home Care, and as a Community Volunteer for the ALA and the COPD Foundation. Since 2010 Bob has served as a Florida COPD Coalition Coordinator, and is currently a Florida COPD State Captain, and Coordinator for Breathe Strong America.

Dave Henry, RRT

Dave has over 45 years as a registered respiratory therapist and has worked as a respiratory clinical specialist with pulmonary support groups. Dave has provided clinical support, education programs to patients and CEU programs to RTs. Previous positions included director of cardiopulmonary service, adjunct professor in a respiratory care program, home care and clinical support with a respiratory manufacturing company.
